PSNC is hosting a series of Roadshows for community pharmacists this Autumn. The events will be held on Sundays and hosted by Chief Executive Simon Dukes and his team. The events are being held to help community pharmacy contractors and anyone working in community pharmacies to understand the new five-year deal on the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF). Members of PSNC’s Negotiating Team will explain the context of the deal and what it means for pharmacies, and there will be lots of opportunity to share views and ask questions of the team.
There are several events available nationwide. You can find the full schedule on this LINK.
The West-Midlands event is to be held:
on 29th September 2019 10:00 am-12:00 pm
at Village Hotel Walsall, Tempus Drive, Walsall, WS2 8TJ

The Worcestershire Sexual Health Service Training originally planned for July and then delayed until September has now been postponed again until 2ndOctober. Another date will be available as well, which is yet to be confirmed. More information and sign up link will be available nearer the time. Please accept our apologies for the postponements.
The paperwork and sign off through the Care Trust and Council is taking longer than expected to get through their ‘machines’ and there is a regional PGD being proposed too and they want to avoid duplication. Consequently the required information will not be ready for July.
Therefore the training meetings are delayed until October – attendance by the Pharmacists from any pharmacy wishing to participate in the extended service will be mandatory. All pharmacies that currently provide the EHC service will be able to sign up to the extended service which will be in two phases – Ulipristal and Chlamydia screen and treat fist phase then COC POP first pack and ongoing supply in second phase (BP, BMI checks etc required).
Two training dates will be available: 2ndOctober and a later date which is yet to be confirmed.
Pharmacies that don’t currently provide EHC and wish to do so / offer extended services will be able to express interest as well. There may be a restriction in final number of pharmacies providing the service if large numbers apply.
Please be assured that Melanie Mann – Sexual Health Consultant is working hard to get the service details confirmed and documentation finalised so that the service can be extended in the Autumn
Apologies for the postponements – we didn’t want the evening to be wasted as the documentation would not have been available. Thank you for your understanding.
Any concerns / questions please let us know.
